2018: The Uncommon Music Festival commissioned Brooklyn-based composer Jonathan Woody to set "The Edge of a Season," a poem by author, educator and long-time Sitkan Carolyn Servid. The Festival's second annual commission is for vocal quartet and guitar. Watch and listen to it below!

2017: As part of the Alaskan sesquicentennial celebrations, the Uncommon Music Festival commissioned Homer-born composer Conrad Winslow to write a composition for vocal quartet with piano. His piece, The Stone Harp, sets two poems by former Alaskan poet laureate, John Haines. Listen below!
